I'm looking for a photographer who is skilled in shooting professional, business-type shots that would include headshot, candid environmental type shot with blurred background and other miscellaneous type shots of business owner to be used for business website and marketing.

If you do this type of work, please do email me with a link to your website. (Sorry, I can only consider those who have websites with photography portfolios I can look at to get a sense for their style and skill before deciding to contact them further).

And if you are not a photographer yourself, but know of someone whose work you highly recommend, please do send me your recommendations.

Many thanks!

Oh, I just thought of two other things that might be important to mention:

  • This work would be strictly for digital (online) use; not print.
  • Right photographer would also have good lighting skills and equipment

Again, many thanks for your interest and recommendations! All have been wonderful so far. Great work, photographers, on those portfolios! Of course, that's makes it much harder to decide, LOL.

By the way, here's a biz/marketing tip for you photographers... you know what would be a HUGE help to your would-be clients? A little white paper/article that helps them understand what to look for in a photographer/how to choose a photographer. What kinds of skills and techniques should we consumers be looking for to help us discern ability and talent? What kinds of photography terminology should we be looking for/using when trying to hire a photographer for different kinds of photography? Are there good questions we should be asking? What kinds of questions should photographers be asking us that tell us this is someone who knows what they're doing? These are just some ideas of the kind of information you could include.

Write it up in a document, be sure to include your logo, contact info, links and branding, put it in PDF format and add it to your website so that visitors to your site can simply open/download. Not only will you be doing a great service for your would-be clients and site visitors, but you've then got a viral marketing piece on auto-pilot that will demonstrate your expertise AND build up rapport.
