Hi All
Posted a while back asking about possible options for replacing the
(yucky) carpeting in my 34 Mainship II . Had a lot of interesting
responses, but unfortunately the best options were all more or less
unavailable in Toronto area.
I did come across something yesterday at Home Depot which looks really
interesting though. ,it is called "Allure" by Traffic Master. It is a
"Floating resilient plank flooring". Basically it is a really fancy
type of wood looking vinyl flooring. It comes in "planks" which stick to
teach other and not to the sub floor. The brochure says it is waterproof
and can be used in bathrooms and basements. Cutting is simply a matter
of "score and snap".
It does look amazingly like real wood, even down to the texture, which
feels grainy and "knotty". It comes in "Yukon Oak", "Hickory" and
"Cherry" (No teak and holly)
Looks like I have found the solution :-)
Btw Home Depot also have amazingly realistic looking laminate "wood"
flooring. If you haven't looked at laminate in a while you will be
pleasantly surprised.
(no connection and all that stuff)

Came across this info on another boat related website. Damn near everything you wanted to know about batteries....
