Bob,
Glad to hear that you have landed on your feet and are going full steam
ahead.
You'll perhaps be glad to know that the fly bridge enclosure you built for
us in the winter of 2003 has survived 3 hurricanes and about 30,000 miles
of cruising with no damage at all. Great job! We hope to get back to the
Carib one of these days but no firm plans at this time.
All the best,
Wayne and Diane Beardsley

In the year and a half since Irma the BVI has transitioned to a very busy
work environment. Our business lost the roof and all of the contents in
Irma, had a roof back on early November 2017 and have been working as much
overtime as our expanded work force want. Marine business was non-existent
till February 2018 with very few insurance claims settled, lots of new
charter boats with all new sails and canvas; we won?t see a lot of that
business for a few more years. The billionaires up in North Sound threw
near unlimited budgets at us to get their places up and running with
awnings, shade sails, upholstery, so land based business has eclipsed
marine, but no complaints. We spent so much time in North Sound last
summer and fall that we kept a work boat at Leverick Bay Marina and a truck
on VG so we could take the ferry to Spanish Town instead of slogging up
Drake Channel when the trades were up.
