That will work. Don't put it in backwards or short it out and you'll do
fine.

That does look like the battery in my 1082. I don't see any markings on the
battery in my unit but I can't see the back side until I remove it.
I assume the original was 3.6 VDC also but I'm not sure how to verify that.

I just took out the battery and it is a Tenergy 3.6 VDC 1200mAH ER14250
with tabs welded on.
