With the remnants of hurricane Debby on the way up the east cost, birders can follow any reports of out-of-range storm-carried birds through the Cornell Lab’s BirdCast here:

Long before eBird and BirdCast, I was lucky enough to be heading to a meeting in Hartford from Westport just after a hurricane and while crossing the Housatonic on the Merritt Parkway, a Sooty Tern flew over the bridge right in front of me.

Good luck!
