I traveled to Subic Bay in January and had a chance to see two (yes, count them, 2) Diesel ducks in the Marina. One of them was this wonderful beautiful green boat mentioned by Robert. Other was a bright red DD outfitted for Antarctica. I was given a tour of both boats which was in itself enough to justify my side trip to Subic. It is hard to see examples of DDs in full working order and it is worth a trip to the website below just to get a better idea of what these boats are like. It is in magnificent shape.
