I have the Wallas two burner diesel stove, with the heater option on my C
Dory. It is great for this little boat. There is no diesel odor, no back
drafting--vent is overboard thru the hull. Runs on 3 to 5 oz of fuel an
hour--kerosene is really recommended over the diesel., Power for the stove
only is 0.1 amp, for the blower lid 0.65 amp The first burner gets very
hot--the second not quite so hot. You just turn the stove on and it works--as
easy as an electric. When you close the top (which is glass/ceramic) with the
heater option cover, a small blower comes on--and it functions as a heater.
If two burners are all you need--and about 6,000 BTU of heat, I would say its
a great stove. Acts more like a ceramic cook top--a bit slow to heat and
retains the temp.
In a larger boat I would prefer propane.
