I use a JABSCO 5 gal bucket with a 12 volt Dc motor on top. It has a switch on motor that you flip to pump oil out of engine and then flip switch in opposite direction to empty bucket. I drain 12 quarts out of engine
(LEHMAN):in 3 minutes using permanently installed drain hose kit from American Diesel inc

Your right about impellers. For instance MARCH air conditioning pump
The only thing MARCH is what they call the wet end. That has the impeller so to speak. If you want to buy a wet end you have to buy a minimum of 10 pieces. The motor has no brand label. It is just somebodies standard 110v open/dripproof enclosure

Stick with DEPCO for a solution

Answer: Mine goes about that quick also with the X-Change-R, but it's
basically permanently plumbed in to both engines, transmissions, and genset.
I just pump it into a 5 gallon Diesel can. Easy to pour out. I found the
exact impellers at Reverso and have 2 ordered.

Answer: Our local wholesale Dometic and March distributor sells not only the
wet end for the March pumps but any single part you want with no minimum.
(face plate, body, shaft, impeller, ect). I suppose if you were trying to
buy directly from March it might be a different story.

Answer: Depco couldn't help without me sending them an old impeller and
gasket to try to match up and they didn't think that they would have one
anyway. Reverso had both.
