The comment was made about using a Verizon Air Card in Canada. While this
is unlimited service or 5 gigs in the US, the same subscription is changed
to per megabyte in Canadian territory, something like one or two dollars a
megabyte. Be cautious and check this out before you get your first bill.

My buddy bought a laptop on sale. He signed up for the aircard program.
First month he got whackd with a $900 bill. Apparently the laptop was an
end of line model from last year and the computer automatically logged in
and downloaded ALL the software updates from time of install at the
factory. You can imagine the amount of data involved for one year worth of
Updates to Win XP before SP2. So beware of Canadian billing methods.
Also beware of what the sales peopel tel you about coverage areas. They
can sometimes be grossly over optimistic.

You should definitely investigate this beforehand. In my particular case I
have a Telus Air Card, it's $40/month for unlimited. I can add unlimited US
roaming for an additional $15/month. It's worth spending some time on the web
site of your service provider.
