It's time friends! Pandemic Project Dance Video call for Submissions for March
Please share this email if you know someone who might be interested (or
easily coerced)
It's that time again.
Time to get out (or in if your weather is inclement) and dance, to help
bring joy to others and ourselves.
The Pandemic Project Dance Video for March will be danced to the “La Bamba”
(Ricky Valens Studio Version)
Feel free to dance solo, as a couple, or gather a group together (safely
distanced of course). Have pets or kids? (or in the case of one
participant, a rubber chicken) Include them in the fun as well.
Non-dancers are especially encouraged. This is about having something fun
to do that shares joy. Participants of all ages, shapes, sizes, and
abilities are welcome. and wholeheartedly wanted! Use a walker, wheelchair
or scooter? We could love to have you participate.
Normally costumes are encouraged, but in the spirit of discouraging
cultural appropriation, please do not wear a costume of a culture you do
not belong to. (no sombreros, serapes, calavera, etc...)
If you are in Tacoma I’ll be happy to meet up with you to video you and/or
dance with you if you are shy about such things.
I’ll need at least 30 seconds for editing purposes (each person usually
gets about 11-22 seconds or so) but feel free to dance the whole thing.
It’s helpful if you do not mouth the words because it looks funny if
everyone is singing the chorus and they’re shown in different parts of the
video mouthing the wrong words.
I need your video before February 28th. The earlier the better.
