We just got a 11 foot whaler, with a 30, as our tender for our 32 diesel
Fairline.l have spent hours surfing the net for davit manufacturers with
little luck! We especially like the kind that stand on the swim grid and
the whole arm, acts like a pivot, and lowers the whaler into the water. If
anyone can help with info that would be great. Thanks

Take a look at the Lester Davits. I just finished installing a
pair of these on a 46' Silverton. Nicely made of all stainless
steel, capacity 1000 lbs, about $6000+, depending on options.

I received an Acrobat illustration of the transom mounted
http://www.nickjacksonco.com/transom_davits.htm davits in response to my
email. These folks are in the state of Washington. The cost for a 12V,
electrically powered 500 lbs. one is $3650. They offer other styles
(actually all styles) but the transom mount appears to be easy to install
and rugged. They are, however, too much of an investment for my small boat.
No connection, etc.
