TWL: Here's an Easy Way to Search TWL's Extensive Archives

Long time members have already answered the most frequently asked questions
many times, so you would do yourself - and those who've been around for a
while - a favour by starting with a search and then asking specific
questions to supplement the information already available to you. It's easy.

Go to www.google.com, and in the search box, type the words you're seeking,
a space, and then the phrase site:samurai.com without the <>. Start with
the general and if you get a lot of results, narrow down.

Here's an example: teak decks site:samurai.com just gave me 530 hits, but
leaking teak decks site:samurai.com produced a more manageable 53.

Google also offers a step by step option to do an advanced search to narrow
the field of inquiry.

Note that this search does NOT include the current month's postings. Note,
too, however, that it finds EVERY instance of your search criteria, so don't
be surprised if once in a while you click on a hit only to see an unrelated
posting. That hit was likely one of the "Previous message" or "Next message"
subject headers that attach themselves to all TWL postings. Just scan the
black print before clicking on the blue to save time.

If you wish to add a Google tool bar to your browser go to
http://www.google.com/options/toolbar.html.

Cheers, Garrett
