Jeff, interesting comment, so what you saying is that I can and should post
random thoughts or perhaps information on canning fruits to the site. After
all, it relates to food and we do eat onboard. Or maybe our daily shopping list
would be more of what might interest you. Jeff you are just so wrong about
this, in so many ways. Perhaps, according to you I'm not a "real boater," as I
only boat during the Summer on the Great Lakes for 10 weeks a year. I live in
Orlando Fl and don't have a boat in Florida. SHOCK. You really don't get it. And
that's OK. You assume a lot, and your assumption is incorrect. The place for
this type of attack is "off post" directly to me, not on the site. I have
received quite a bit of "off line" support for requesting that a boating site
should focus on boating, you might want to re read the original post and reconsider
you opinion. My dad had a line he used to use about opinions, but that not
about boating either. I don't mind a bit of off topic posting, its normal and it
human and that's good. But there is a point when it becomes excessive, and it
should be pointed out. At that time the group need to reassess what is being
posed and decide the focus that the group wants the site want to attain and
maintain.

Yes, that would be helpful, topics on food preservation and food
provisioning. Especially for voyages crossing oceans, inside passage to
Alaska or a couple of months in the Bahamas.

But we gotta drop the discussion on radios and antennas and get back to
boating.
