at idle, dribble the Bon Ami into the air cleaner and let the engine run for
a few more minutes. Shut down, change the oil and filter, run for an hour,
then change oil and filter again. Apparently this only works with Bon Ami
which has just the right scouring attribute. >>
Wow! "Do not try this at home" - BIG TIME!
I may advocate a more 'laize fare' attitude towards engine maintenance and
monitoring than many on this list, but this procedure is even 'over the top'
for me.
I once worked with guy in an auto salvage yard that washed his car with Bon
Ami once a year. I thought that would be the only time I would hear those two
things in the same sentence.
LIve and learn.

Try washing your boat with Bon Ami and see how easy chalk and streaks come
off. Also works wonders on glass windows with water spots including crystal
that gets a haze on it.
