Press Release: Calling all Artists

CALL TO ARTISTS
Tacoma, WA, 10/5/2015 - Courage360 seeks local artists to display their art on our lobby walls. Artwork will be rotated on a quarterly basis. Artists may include a small Art Tag, that provides art title and info, artist contact information and purchasing information if piece is for sale.

Courage360 is a nonprofit organization based in Tacoma, WA. Opening our doors 33 years ago as Washington Women's Employment & Education, in 2014 we gave the organization a facelift with a new brand and name of Courage360. We believe this is a better fit to the work we do. Although we have adult male participants, the average Courage360 participant is a single mom, with little or no education, struggling to support her family on a part-time, minimum wage job. Through our five week course, and the help of caring classroom instructors and skilled one-to-one mentors, our graduates overcome obstacles, change attitudes and move beyond the pain of the past. Through the Courage360 classroom, and services that wrap around the entire participant through both computer skills and soft skills training, participants gain courage that opens up a whole new aspect on living. Courage360 staff and board are dedicated to strengthening both career and life skills in each participant, and connecting businesses to future employees. When you support Courage360, you help improve the lives of parents, children and families.

As a local artists, we invite you to display your work in our lobby, which can help produce a much more inviting and welcoming location for participants, local business, board members and community members to enter.
