11/13-Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, 10am-12:45PM, sunny,
high tide-receding, 42F. A brisk, sunny day at the Coastal Center.  No
visitors this morning, but our 2 new residents-Truffles & Tolstoy (snakes)
were getting lots of attention from Maggie & Ava.
On the marsh:  17 American Black ducks, 1 male Bufflehead, feeding and
swimming and hanging out with the Black ducks,  8 Mute swans, 3 flyover
D.C. Cormorants, 1 Northern harrier coasted over.  As the tide was
receding, 37 American Wigeons and 4 Gadwalls kept 1 Northern Pintail
company, and several Black bellied plovers were on a mudflat.
On the grounds & feeders:  1 Red bellied woodpecker, 2 Tufted titmice, 3
Mourning doves, 10 House Finches, 1 White breasted nuthatch working a tree,
3 Chickadees, 2 White throated sparrows and numerous House sparrows in the
brush piles and bird baths.
