Coventry Lake froze solid sometime in mid-December, the earliest I've ever
seen. Quite often it is at least partially open well into January. On
March 29 it is still 100% frozen. I've lived overlooking the lake for 43 years
and I have never seen ANY ice on it by the first of April. Safe to say,
that record will be broken this year.
