Speaking of this system, are they out of business? Does anyone know of a source for the impellors for these pumps? I've been happy with mine and the impellors usually last several years. I've tried to send them messages but no response. Last update on their FB page was in 2010. I hate to replace this system just for lack of being able to find an impellor.
Thanks!

Brent,
Before you replace the system I'd try to cross-reference the impellor with
other applications. Most of these manufactures don't custom build a pump
for their use, they instead adapt some existing pump that may have been used
for many other purposes (i.e. they don't reinvent the wheel). I'd start
with the pump itself and then with the impellor looking for part numbers
and/or manufacturer names and numbers.
Good luck,
George

Brrent, try checking with Jabsco, Oberdorfer and Johnson, maybe google
impellers, I know you've thought of this, but maybe someone else hasn't. If
my memory is WNLs, I did that years ago, but I cannot remember the pump's
brand or impeller manufacturer. Good luck.

I don't know about their business status, but going on two boats equipped
with them, I have never known from one oil change to the next whether or not
the crummy impeller would not shred. I finally got fed up and replaced the
impeller pump with a gear pump. Now it can pump all day and loves its
mother. Marco M164-220-12 gear pump.

Well, I've had different luck I guess. I've had this boat 20 years next
month and change the main oil and transmissions at least annually, and the
genset several times a year so I've used this pump quite a bit. I changed
the first impellor in 2004, next in 2009, and last in 2012 and it's still
working but I figure every time I turn it on that that 9 year old impellor
has to be shot. I have this plumbed into both engines, trannys, and genset.
It would be a pain to change out so just trying to avoid that if I can.
I've tried the local distributor that carries Johnson, Sherwood, Oberdorfer,
and maybe some others with no luck so far. No markings on the impellor or
pump except X-change-R so they did a good job of covering their tracks. The
only places I can think of to try is Depco or Reverso but I'm betting the
latter would just want to sell me a pump.
Just hoping I wasn't the first to run into this!

Update: Depco doesn't know if they have them but offered to try to match
something up if I send them an old impellor. I'm always impressed with their
service. I've sent an email to Reverso to see what they can tell me. Their
small GPM pump sure looks like the same pump.

The Marco gear pump fits into the XChangR quite well. End of impeller
issues.

New Update! I heard back from Reverso and the SRK-360 impeller and gasket is
the same as the X-Change-R so I'm good to go! For $20 and about 15 minutes
of labor I'm good for a few more years. Thanks for all the suggestions!
