Hummingbird mating flights?

This week I've been observing male(s) in mating flight behavior in front of
female(s) in the azalea bush outside my window.  I still have multiple of
both sexes coming to my feeders every few minutes. Would they breed again
this late?  Or am I seeing territorial behavior even though it differs from
the full on attack when driving away from the feeders. What I'm seeing is
the typical arced flight at increasingly high speed back and forth in front
of the perched female.
