Bob,

Lake Worth is a body of water forming part of the  ICW between approximately
mile 1014 and mile 1022.  At about the mid point of this lake is the Lake
Worth Inlet at mile 1018.3 just below Peanut Island.  The Class A Lake Worth
Inlet is a good all weather inlet.

Most vessels anchor long term at the north end of Lake Worth in the
protected cove shown to the east of North Palm Beach at about mile 1014.

From there it is easy access by dinghy to shopping at a supermarket, West

Marine and public transportation.

Many vessels move from the northern end of Lake Worth to the area just south
of Peanut Island and anchor the night before they depart for the Bahamas.
This anchorage is more exposed, but provides easy access to the Inlet in the
wee hours of the morning.

Hope this clears the Lake Worth Inlet up for you.
