Like many of you, we don't cruise on an unlimited budget.  I would much
rather anchor out or tie to a free dock or wall and then use that money to
dine out.  If we are paying slip rent at a marina we will probably eat dinner
aboard.  All that having been said, Venice doesn't really have much of an
anchorage area, so we will probably just travel south from Sarasota to Boca
Grande and bypass Venice altogether.  Pity.
