LHP - Tuesday 10-13 180 hawks

After a very slow start, 3 birds in the first 4 hours, the winds again shifted around from the South to the WNW and then NW.

BINGO. The birds started flying quickly.

For the day..

Turkey Vultures... 12

Osprey... 10

Bald Eagle... 1  3rd/4th year

Northern Harrier... 3

Sharp-Shin Hawk...74

Cooper's Hawk... 36

Broad-wing Hawk... 1

Red-Tailed HAwk... 6

American Kestrel... 24

Merlin... 8

Peregrine Falcon... 5

Total for the day... 180

Other birds of note: Tree Swallow... 250 +/-

Thanks to Don Morgan who came and brought the birds with him about 11AM.
