THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB (February 6-12) and WINTER GFC WEEK 5 ROLL CALL!
Great News! Last Thursday Punxsatawney Phil, in a town that is
interestingly just about 70.3 miles from Penn State University, saw his
shadow and declared a full year of sunshine and great weather for the 2023
multisport season!
To help you prepare for it, we have an array of activities this week, and
every week, to assist you in meeting your fitness goals. And if you are not
sure where to get started, this Wednesday evening our Head Coaching Team
will also be offering an online seminar “How to plan your 2023 season” that
will include an overview of Training Peaks and an opportunity for you to
ask any questions that you have. This is one of our most useful and
practical seminars of the year for new and experienced Gators, so we highly
encourage you to attend!
Other headlines for you to be aware of...
Gators Club Philly! Last week we launched "Gators Club Philly". In the
spirit of the Gators Ice Cream Club and the Gators Pizza Club, you can earn
entry to the club through participation in club workouts (any of those in
our poll) and other club activities. Once in the club you will have earned
an invite to the Gators Club Philly Party taking place in April. If you
earned a badge (see post under "Featured"/"Announcements" for a list of
badges), please post a comment on this post or any Gators Club Philly post
so that we can add you to the roster and check off the badges you have
earned.
Free entries! Congratulations to Jennifer Gehret who last week became our
latest winner of a free event entry with the Love Run 7.6K entry we
received from club sponsor CGI Racing! This is the first of a dozen 2023
event entries that you’ll have the opportunity to win over the next couple
of months. Watch for more coming soon via posts from Rachel Truckley! Also,
if you happen to be a parent of one of our youth members, there are also
three entries to youth events that our youth leaders, Cindy Kelecic and
Angela Epelbaum, will be distributing!
BINGO! We're tentatively planning our "I Don't Want It, You Can Have It"
Bingo for Sunday 2/19. We’re looking for a minimum of 20 attendees to
proceed; there is a poll under “Featured”/”Announcements” that was posted
by Jill Basile on . As of today we only have 8 “Going”, so if you plan to
attend, please add your input. We’ll make a go/no go call later this week.
Uniform Fitting and Orders! We had our first uniform fitting this past
Saturday and the next will be TONIGHT/ Monday before and during the swim
workout. See Angela Epelbaum on the pool deck who can assist you with the
items you'd like to try. Angela will also be in attendance at Tuesday
night's club workouts for another opportunity.
What's your t-shirt size? We'll soon be placing our order for 2023 member
t-shirts and to best assure we have your size, please respond to Rachel
Truckley's poll posted under "Featured"/"Announcements".

13 Workouts! This week we're again offering our full workout program
including 13 opportunities to help you get fit; this includes 5 swims, 3
cycling opportunities, and, including our Tuesday run workout, the
RUNegades group runs, and the Keystone Running Store group run (tonight!),
5 running opportunities!
