Sure could but then again you can steal license plates, etc which doesn't
stop the licensing of cars. All this anti-terrorist stuff just keeps the
good folks under their thumbs. The bad guys will always get thru if they
want to!
We welcome AIS as it is a real aid to better navigation and can be a great
safety aid as it becomes more widespread which can help folks in distress
and save $$$ on the current search costs.
