Northwest Sinfonietta Concert & Monster Mash Event on Sunday Oct 27th

TACOMA, Wash. - The Northwest Sinfonietta mounts a monstrous affair in Tacoma's Theater District on Sunday, October 27.  At 4:00 p.m. Northwest Sinfonietta presents a concert and film double feature at the McMenamins Spanish Ballroom (565 Broadway, Tacoma) featuring H.K. Gruber's "Frankenstein!!" and a showing of the 1931 classic film "Frankenstein" with Michael Shapiro's new musical score performed live. Baritone soloist / chansonnier Darren Drone joins conductor and Northwest Sinfonietta artistic partner Jeffery Meyer in this just-in-time-for-Halloween blockbuster creature-double-feature concert!

From 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. before the performance, Northwest Sinfonietta, Spaceworks Tacoma and The Broadway Gallery with support from Tacoma Creates present a free all-ages community "Monster Mash" in Tacoma's Antique Row on Broadway between 7th and 9th Streets featuring a candy crawl, free face painting, tarot card readings, costume contest, caricature artist, and build-a-monster printmaking activity.
