Owl from west end of Compo beach looking west towards Norwalk on
Seymour's Rock. Scope is advisable for good looks but it could be seen
with bins.

11/29/13 - Westport, Compo Beach -- SNOWY OWL flew 11:15-18 & had not
been seen again as of 11:50. Relocated at 3:00 PM from Compo Beach by
Towny; bird was on Cockenoe Island spit, continued until at least
3:47.

11/29/13 - Moodus, backyard -- 7.30 AM; standing on my back porch,
having my morning coffee, when 8 Sandhill Cranes flew overhead,
honking loudly. Appeared to be heading slightly southwest.

Sparrows (part of large Junco flock in campground area behind Swan
Pond), White-crowned Sparrow (Willard's Island), Lapland Longspur
(grass/gravel next to nature center), Common Eider (end of Moiraine
trail).
Stonington, Stonington Point -- 1:45 PM; 12 Common Eider.
Mystic, Ender's Island -- 2:30 PM; 30 Common Eider.
Waterford, Harkness State Park -- 4 PM; female KING EIDER, walk south
of main parking lot to the water. The bird was actively diving and
feeding on small crabs very close to shore.

11/28/13 - Bridgeport, West end of Seaside Park -- about 9 AM; Snowy
Owl at the Barnum Dyke Rd area of the park. A group of crows were
harassing the owl over by a building, it then flew past and over the
dump area.

11/28/13 - Bridgeport, Barnum Dyke Rd, near the entrance to the park
-- Instead of going into the park, turn right on Barnum Dyke and you
will see a locked gate with a road going into the landfill. The Snowy
Owl is sitting on a dump truck.

breakwater at 1145am. Seen for two minutes and it then went onto the
boulders where it could not be seen.
