Thanks for all the replies. About half suggested mounting the transducer in an oil filled tube Sikaflexed to the hull, the other half commented favorably about mounting the transducer with a glob of silicone. Being naturally averse to work, I'll try the latter approach first. If I have no success with the easy method, I'll put it in a tube. Larry Zeitlin
