On Friday (November 19) Karl Konze had looks at what he was pretty sure was
a Golden-crowned Sparrow, however, he and others could not refind it that
day. This morning (November 21) around 9:00 am he refound the bird and was
able to confirm his earlier identification.
The bird was at Rosetta McLain community (allotment) garden just east of
Rosetta McClain Gardens in Scarborough, here's a pin to where he reported
the bird this morning: https://goo.gl/maps/SNX52whh9Ntf6kEF6
Karl shared this information on Friday (I'm assuming this applies to
today's sighting: "The bird was frequenting the bushes along the fence line
between the allotment garden and Wynnview Court. It was roughly opposite
the south end of the allotment gardens itself. It was by itself except for
a male Cardinal at the time. It was midway in the bushes, obscuring it from
view most of the time, but it did come out along the edge of the grass to
forage for maybe a minute, affording me my best views. if venturing down
Wynnview Court, please be respectful of the local residents. It's a quiet
street."
