Attached are the Minutes from the racing meeting last Wednesday. A summary
of the meeting high points are below.

If you haven't already, please pay your Fleet dues.

If you can volunteer for Race Patrol duty as a Cruising Fleet
representative, please contact Carol Marsh as soon as possible.

The next meeting of Cruising Fleet racers will be Wednesday, May 1st, at
7:30, one week before the first Wednesday Night race of the season. Fleet
Captain, Racing Carol Marsh will go over last minute discussions of the 2019
Sailing Instructions for Wednesday Nights, Sundays, and Regattas, new
changes in the scoring rules, and any other information pertinent to
Cruising Fleet Racing for the season.

Summary of Meeting

High Points

R    Fleet Captain - Racing, Carol Marsh, will ask for volunteers to fill
the Race Patrol roster.

R    Jeff Levy will request help from the cruisers at NBC regattas, in
return for racing support at Cruising Fleet events such as Closing Day. Jeff
will bring the subject up at the Cruising meeting Saturday, March 30th .

R    New program - suggested by Vic Tartaglia, Joanne Smolen will reach out
to find members who are willing to coach new racers, and members who want to
race but would like coaches on board their boats to learn how.

R    John Sheehan reported he will make one minor change to the Sailing
Instructions for 2019.

R    Eric Baumes recommended using the Cox-Sprague high point scoring system
for Sundays and Regatta racing this year. Wednesday Night scoring will still
use the traditional low point system. One champion racer will be determined
at the end of the season using the Cox-Sprague system.

R    Fleet Scorer Tony Martin will edit the 2019 scoring rules to reflect
changes in scoring procedures.

R    John Sheehan will represent the Cruising Fleet in the Champion of
Champions Regatta Sunday, May 26th.
