One of the "downsize" boats I am considering is 30 feet long, weight of 10,500 lbs dry, 11.3' beam and a shallow V hull. Apparently this particular boat is a rariety--since nearly all of the hulls were fitted with twin 180 to 225 gas inboards (and have cruising speeds of 18 to 20 knots--top speeds 25 to 28 knots. This hull has a single TAMD 40 Turbocharged Volvo diesel--susposedly 148 hp. I know that some of the list members have similar size boats and similar engines. I wonder what they are getting as top end cruising speeds. Unfortunately the gentleman who is selling the boat has had a stroke and cannot communicate adequately. Thank you in advance. Bob Austin
