We have recently found and added to the website a video of Charles Rhyne discussing appellate advocacy. Mr. Rhyne founded IMLA in 1935 and became one of the most respected Supreme Court advocates of his day, was the person who led President Eisenhower to recognize "Law Day" and argued Baker vs. Carr and National League of Cities vs Usery for the cities and won. The video opens with a much younger me that you should skip. While this video is about 20 years old and was an address made by Mr. Rhyne not too long before his death to my office when I was County Attorney in Montgomery County, his message still remains current for those arguing cases before the Supreme Court and other appellate courts. Look for it on the IMLA website www.imla.org under About IMLA and About/Mission/History. At bottom. Chuck
