[Ontbirds] Frigatebird, Point Pelee drive Leamington
Frigatebird, likely Magnificent, observed Thurs. June 29 2017 along shore from Lake Erie at Pelee Wings Nature Store 636 Point Pelee Drive at 2:30pm, heading south in strong SW wind. Pics available; First observed by Joan Walker of Pelee Wings Nature Store from the yard of the store.

The Frigatebird made another brief appearance just north of Pelee Wings at the outlet of Sturgeon Creek. It's not currently in view but likely still in the area.

The Magnificent Frigatebird is still present and currently perched in a tree on the rock jetty at Sturgeon Creek (near the bridge a few houses down from Pelee Wings). It will likely fly again but it has been hanging around within a few hundred metres of Pelee Wings on Point Pelee Dr. near Leamington, Essex County.
