Observers:

Visitors:
I spent my morning with a fellow from the Yukon, here to see some Southern
Ontario birds. He visited Holiday Beach and Ojibway Park in search of a
Tufted Titmouse. Word from Ojibway was he was successful in his find!

Dwayne Murphy and his beautiful family were up for a visit, as well as Jim
McCoy whom I spent my afternoon with.

A few couples from Virginia and assorted states also visited.

Weather:
Today's weather called for a complete washout, luckily the rain only halted
the counts from 1-2. Temperature ranged from 18-24.6 with clouds most of
the day. Winds from the E/SE through the day and were calm.

Raptor Observations:
Slow day for raptors only 26 total raptors counted. I noticed that most of
the Sharp-shinned would come through with the droves of Blue Jays. I kept
my eyes peeled for Sharpies during those heavy flights.

Non-raptor Observations:
Today was the day for Jays! They came through strong the majority of the
morning, when the rains came everything slowed but the Jays were right back
on track after the rain.

Monarchs-8

Chimney Swifts-1

Palm Warbler-4

Brown Trasher-1

Eastern Pheobe-2

Yellow Rumped Warbler- 4

White Throated Sparrow-5

Gold Finch- 26

European Starling- 790

Predictions:
With the weather calling for a complete wash out, let's hope the rainy
weather by-passes the tower again and hope to see some more Raptor
migration.
