  1. I will attend the hearing.
  2. Do we have a firm date for our next Board meeting.
I'd like to give Johanna ample notice.
  3. Is there a family ride tomorrow?
Where/when should I show up - any route suggestions?

Subject: [Talk] Surface Mining Project Hearing Today!

There is a hearing this afternoon 1:30PM TUE 05SEP at the Salida Steamplant on the ACA Products/Frank Holman Surface Mining Project.

There is concern over the safety of cyclists who would use the roads involved if the project is approved.

So far, there has been little representation of the cycling community in this process.  It was suggested that more involvement from the cycling community is needed to represent these safety issues on our county roads.

If you are able to attend, please consider it.

Eric Tauer

I am a cyclist, and a member.  I have a different perspective as a
neighbor, so I hope to not be lumped. Sorry that this is late.  I just want
to ensure that the Club is not representing me.  Thank you.

I  sitting at the gravel pit hearing. ACA has withdrawn their request to run trucks on County Roads 140 and 250. Instead, they propose building their own road directly to/from Highway 50.
