Connecticut has a chance to join New York and California in banning chlorpyrifos, a pesticide used mainly in agriculture that is toxic to birds and is implicated in the devastating die-off of bees and other beneficial insects that you may have heard about in the news lately.

Connecticut Audubon is on record as supporting this ban.

But lobbyists are working the Legislative Office Building in hopes of killing the bill, HB 7346, or adding amendments that would weaken it.

Banning this pesticide would be a benefit to Connecticut's environment.

As a supporter of Connecticut Audubon, please contact your Connecticut Senator, House member, and Governor Lamont to let them know you support HB 7346.

Please tell your Senator and House member to vote for HB 7346. And please ask the Governor to sign the bill into law once it is passed.
