Good point, Tom. I did put the Coalition URL under my signature, so I’m hoping that will do it.

There are two ways for me to send this in. One is through the HRC website, which I hope will allow me to paste in the full text of the letter. The other is by surface mail to their post office box. I’ll probably do the former first and then follow up with the latter. When I do, I can list the current Board members on the letterhead.

For what it’s worth, I doubt that HRC herself will see the letter, but I’m hoping that it will make its way up the ranks to Ann O’Leary, who is HRC’s top advisor on education and other social issues.

NCL Board Colleagues,

This morning’s Washington Post includes a column in which HRC responded to questions about her positions on education matters. I have drafted the attached letter as a response to that article.

If you all approve, I will send the letter over my signature as NCL president. If you don’t approve, I’ll send it as Deborah from Key Words.

Please let me know right away whether you approve of sending this as Deborah from NCL, and whether there are changes or additions that you would recommend. I’d like to send it today if possible.

Thanks in advance for your prompt responses!

Deborah

Hi Deborah,

Greetings from the NCFL Summit in Detroit.

Thanks for writing this letter. Looks good.

Please note that I can and would like to be listed on letters, as appropriate, but not as a Goodling  Institute member due to our association with Penn State and legal issues.  Please list my title as "Board Member".  I know, it's always something.

Many thanks!

Blaire
