Hi to everyone,
I am called Benno and my wife is Marlene. We have been
cruising since the summer of 05 on our Diesel Duck 41, named the same (with
the designer's consent). Our Duck was built in Canada on Lake Ontario. List
founder Georgs Kolesnikovs connected us in Oct. 1998 with a professional yard
in Belleville, Ont., who built our Diesel Duck in aluminum. (Thank you
Georgs:-)
Since 05 we cruised down the ICW, have done the Caribbean circuit
three times and transited the Panama canal last year. At this writing we are
stocking up with food and fuel in Puerto Montt, Chile, to venture further down
into the Patagonian canals.
When we have access to wifi (there won't be any in
the Patagonian canals) we enjoy reading through the passagemaking under power
list and the interesting comments from the cruising members. We'll contribute
every so often.
Best Regards, Benno Klopfer
Benno and Marlene,
Sounds very interesting. I presume that since you have limited internet
access, you are not chronicling your travels through a log/blog.
I sure many of us that are for the moment shoreside would appreciate hearing
more about your travels if and when you have the time and access.
Safe Travels,
David
