Here's what you need to know about changes to the software running the T&T List which will help you manage your accounts. You may need to expand your email client to full screen to more easily read this information. If anyone would like a PDF version for reference, please _email me directly_ (not the list) and I'll send it to you. --------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT: Every email address subscribed to T&T List prior to March 13th is still subscribed, but is not registered until following the procedure outlined below. Definition: List member and subscriber are interchangeable Definition: Subscribe means to become a member or subscriber using a specific email address and receive email from T&T List (either individual or digest); no password is required Definition: Unsubscribe means to remove your email address from the list and stop receiving list emails; no password is required Definition: Register means to link a user (by name) to a specific email address, which then allows the user to manage certain aspects of the account; a registered account allows the user to manage an individual profile and global preferences which include delivery status, delivery mode (individual or digest), whether own posts are received, etc. A user must register after subscribing in order to access AFFINITY (the user interface) where an account can be managed; however, a subscriber can post and receive posts without registering. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT Subscribe by email --->            Send email to: trawlers-join@lists.trawlering.com with nothing in the subject line or body Unsubscribe by email --->            Send email to: trawlers-leave@lists.trawlering.com with nothing in the subject line or body Register account using AFFINITY --->            Point browser to: lists.trawlering.com/register; click on upper-right guest icon and select <Click here to sign up for a new account> Access AFFINITY --->            Point browser to: lists.trawlering.com and enter your sign-in information Subscribe using AFFINITY --->            Point browser to: lists.trawlering.com; look for Trawlers-and-Trawlering at the right side of screen left click on the three vertical dots; then click <Subscribe to this list> Unsubscribe using AFFINITY --->            Point browser to: lists.trawlering.com; sign in with member email address; look for three vertical dots then left click and select <unsubscribe> Using AFFINITY after registering (see above) after entering the AFFINITY interface --->            Left click on upper right user icon.                      > Update profile (change any of the following                                  >My Profile>Firstname, Lastname, TimeZone, Delete account, Unsubscribe all lists                                  >Global Preferences>Delivery status, delivery mode, receive own posts, acknowledge posts, hid address, receive list copies                      >Change password                      >Sign out HOW TO VIEW THE ARCHIVES To view archives as a subscriber or without subscribing or registering an account --->            Point browser to: lists.trawlering.com/empathy/list/trawlers.lists.trawlering.com; alternatively go to lists.trawlering.com and select Trawlers-and-Trawlering from list; click on <View Archives> at top left of page QUESTIONS?
