The Solicitors Roundtable held on Oct. 6 at the PML Annual Summit included a discussion of the recently enacted legislation, Act 2 of 2017 effective September 7, 2017, dealing with access to police video and audio recordings. The Solicitor's Office of the City of Allentown has reviewed this legislation because of the cost and administrative difficulties Act 2 presents. By one estimate, Allentown will incur costs of compliance of around $200,000.
