have a  friend with a sail boat that wants to travel true the Erie Canal in
a sail  boat with a mast height of 42'.  Does anyone know where he'll  have
take down the mast and where he can put it back up  again?

Cheers,
Ski

I have heard of sailboats taking down the mast at Catskill, NY on the  Hudson
and having it put back up at Wardell Boatyard in Tonawanda, NY at the
western end of the canal.
