The Semi-final pairings are set! Rob Voors (9) vs Warner Woo (5) Vince Barraza (3) vs Mark Allen (2) The quarterfinal matches were exciting! In very close matches, Rob and Warner upset the #1 seed, Gil Tovalin, and #4 seed Bobby Myape. Rob fired a 78 (net 68) to win 2 and 1. Warner shot a 34 on the front nine to take a 5-up lead, but Bobby cut the lead to 2 on the back nine. Warner closed the match 2 and 1. Mark Allen was 3-up before Richard tied the match on #15. Mark went on to win #16 and #17 for a 2 and 1 win. Marc Maretsky was injured, so he conceded to Vince. Semi-final matches must be completed by the end of January.
