To: Wed Night Racing Distribution:
I am a new NYBC member and available tomorrow evening (6/12) to help out
with anyone looking for crew. I will also have my son with me, Trevor (22
years old) and if there are two spots on the same boat this would be great.
No class requirements and would be wiling to sail on spinnaker, non spin or
cruising fleet boats.
I will plan on being at the club at 5:00 PM tomorrow and appreciate any
guidance or assistance you can provide on getting out on the water!
My experience for reference includes:
C&C 29 MarkII - Owned and raced this boat at Keyport Yacht Club for 10 years
J-24 Raced and Crewed for over 12 years - trimming and spin
Tartan 10 - Raced for 5 years on SF Bay - Bowman, trimmer, grinder
J-29 - Raced on this boat out of Alameda Yacht Club for 4 years - Trimming
and grinder

Good move, Greg. I would be surprised if you don't get more than a few eager skippers calling. Nice resume... some interesting boats. On L.I. Sound, the Tartan 10 has been a consistent PHRF winner. As a former J-35 owner, I love many J-Boats, including the J-29... another bigtime winner in this part of the world.
Good luck! Keep me informed. I hope you get to race with an experienced skipper. If not, then you will have an opportunity to do a little coaching, which I find rewarding. Let me know how you make out.
Best,
Dick

Thank you very much Lee!!
Looking forward to it. I assume being at the club by 5:00-5:15 is about the right time to show up?
Thanks again
Greg
