Dear IMLA Canadian Members: The program for Canada Day at the IMLA conference is coming together nicely but we still need a few more presentations. We hope to finalize the program in the coming weeks, so please submit topics sooner rather than later if you would like to be considered. Also, I wanted to be sure members were aware of the Canadian Scholarship Fund. The information on the scholarship is attached. But the long and short of it is, if you are under the age of 40, practice municipal law in Canada, and willing to present and draft a 15-35 page paper, you can apply for the scholarship, which will cover reasonable cost of airfare, the conference registration fee, and the hotel accommodation at the IMLA conference rates. (Please be sure to review the additional criteria and information in the attached as this is only a very basic overview for the purpose of brevity). I will extend the deadline to apply until 7/29. (The application itself is not onerous, so you should have no problem meeting that deadline).
