I have 2 Vitrifrigo refrigerators on my boat. Neither have an internal circulating fan. With no fan there is about 10 deg difference between the top rack and the bottom drawer. I put the food that needs to be kept the coldest on the top rack and the lettuce and carrots in the bottom drawer. By not circulating the air inside the refrigerator and allowing the lower section to run a little warmer the refrigerator uses less power. We spend a lot of time away from shore power so the power consumed by the refrigerators is important to us.
