Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end  time: 13:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter:        1Counter

Observers:        Ken Wootton

Visitors:
Some visitors again today and thanks to Ken W and Claude L for getting a
count done today.

Weather:
Lots of sunshine till around 11 am then cloud building in and totally
overcast in the last hour of the count. Temps started cooler at 9C and got
to a high of 20C.  Winds were light from the NE then backed to the E and
finally ended at SSW.

Raptor Observations:
A small flight today with just 63 raptors but visitors got to see a couple
of nice Peregrines cruise through and a single Osprey.

Non-raptor Observations:
Ken reported 50+ Monarchs for the day. No passerine report was provided
today.

Predictions:
Saturday should have lots of sunshine and light NE winds for most of the
morning and into the afternoon before backing to SE. However, the thermal
updraft forecast is showing low buoyancy across southern Ontario for
tomorrow so I'm not sure how much of a movement of raptors will occur.

Looking ahead, the forecast for Sunday is now strong SW winds for most of
the day and in fact winds are supposed to increase in strength midday.
Given we've seen only a small number of Peregrines come through to this
point this wind may bring them along the cliff edge if any are in the area.
