Hello all, We have finally purchased a boat, but it's not a trawler. After
looking at 8 trawler style boats, the last one a 34 Mainship in Solomons, MD
that was a disaster, we came across a 1979 33ft Egg Harbor "Over Easy" w/ twin
low hour Cat 3116 diesels. The boat surveyed above average and the price was
right so we jumped at it. We are having Captain Jeremy Hopkins of Maryland
Sailing assist with the delivery north. We want to thank everyone on the list
who offered assistance and knowledge, without all your help we couldn't have
accomplished it. The boat will travel north to NY the weekend of Oct. 2nd (
weather permitting).
PS- Please don't shun us for not buying a trawler, we'll still lurk :-)
Thanks again,Marc and AndreeOver Easy
When you looked at a Mainship 34, you weren't looking at a trawler. At least
Egg Harbor made good, seaworthy boats.
