Mike: YES it is easy to do. Just follow the instructions exactly (they are
included in the kit). This is so that you do not damage the rim when removing
the old neck. Also some sanding with emery cloth will be necessary so that
the new neck fits in tight and easy. You will require epoxy (recommended) but
DO NOT use 5 minute epoxy (that is also mentioned in the instructions). Do
purchase the overflow tanks at the same time to have a complete new
antifreeze expansion system. As already mentioned checking the overflow tank
or plastic line is all that is required as you do have to remove the cap.

Yes, I did this four years ago. The kit was on the boat when we bought her,
but had not been installed. As has been mentioned before, follow the
instruction carefully. It is not a difficult procedure. I was surprised
how easily the old neck came out. I thought I was in for a more difficult
struggle. I used Marine-Tex to epoxy the new neck in. I think the
instructions said to use JB Weld. This is a job worth doing. You won't
regret it.

I have a Lehman 135 and never have any problem with coolant overflow,
etc. Am I just lucky, or are these tanks needed just for the 120's?

I don't think so. I have a 1988 Lehman 135 that I've owned since 1991. It's
never leaked a drop except for when I had a worn pressure cap.
