catalytic diesel stove

I have a Wallas Diesel stove on the C Dory.  It is two burner. The larger of
the burners gets up to about 10,000 BTU and the smaller probably 6,000 at full
bore.  The ceramic top is very easy to clean--much like the electric ceramics.
The stove also doubles as a diesel cabin heater in a small boat.  There is a
forced external draft, there is a circulating fan which pushes the hot air off
the burners when the top in closed, making the unit a heater.  I don't think
it would be practical in heating a large boat.  It does fine in the PNW for
the C Dory.  The fuel use is very effecient.  There is no internal flame or
diesel smell and the combustion is very effecient.

The stove does use a small amount of power for the pressure pump, the blowers
and ignition.  There are a lot of these used in small boats and they are
excellent for what they are designed for.
