Congress reconvened on Monday for a lame duck session, and now must must complete work on Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 appropriations by December 9th to keep the government running. Investments in workforce training, apprenticeship, postsecondary career and technical education, financial aid for working learners, and adult basic education are all in play.
Our field will face an uphill climb in the coming years to protect investments in skills, and the climb starts today. As Congress sets spending levels for FY17, we need to speak with a collective voice. The more voices, the greater the impact.
Please sign your organization on http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=tGaH5Ci%2FQmBWwfYNg0Ng2nTH2U2Icrwz to NSCâs letter http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=LH8xt9Ji6409NJXhFxrPCXTH2U2Icrwz by tomorrow at 12:00 ET to help us ensure that U.S. workers and businesses have access to the skills they need to compete and prosper.
