I want to start a travelogue website for my new boat and my travels. I
am looking for a good template to start making entries.

I can do a website from scratch but I believe that there must be some
good templates out there.

I copied a few sites from those out there on the web but modifying them
daily is a manual process.

Commercial websites are available for many purposes and use
sophisticated techniques but I have not found one for travel

Any help is appreciated.

You may want to consider a web-based log (blog).  There are a number of
companies doing it, but I like http://www.typepad.com because you can
update via email during your travels.  It is pretty inexpensive (I
believe there is a 30 day free trial) and easy to set up.  A few of us
started them for Southeast Alaska travel logs.  See
http://alyeska.typepad.com/alyeska_2004/,
http://meander.typepad.com/alaska04/ and http://trawlerblog.typepad.com
as examples.  A new kid on the block is http://www.emilyb.com.  As you
can see, Emily B did a modification that points the blog to her own
domain name.

Good luck.
